In the year 1999, EDI received the coveted membership of the International Association for Driving Instruction and Traffic Education - originally derived from Internationaler Verband für Verkehrsschulung und Verkehrserziehung (IVV). 

IVV aims to raise the driver education standards & road safety; encourage and promote the interests of those involved in professional driver training in all member countries.
