Emirates Driving Institute Receives ‘Energy & Green Economy’ Award
Emirates Driving Institute received the ‘Energy & Green Economy’ award from RTA at the second edition of the award function held at RTA headquarters. EDI has won this award for the application of green building standards at its premises in Dubai.
H.E Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the Roads and Transport Authority presented the awards to winners & honored companies and individuals for their valuable contribution.
This award was constituted in 2013 to encourage companies to adopt green initiatives and more environment friendly strategies.
Earlier, EDI also attained LEED EBOM certification and is the first driving institute worldwide to achieve this. LEED stands for "Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design," and is shorthand for the USGBC's LEED Green Building Rating System family of standards. The LEED standards are national, voluntary, consensus-based guidelines for developing and operating high-performance, environmentally sustainable buildings
