EDI’s mission of creating safe drivers doesn’t stop with driver training courses but goes much beyond that. Emirates Driving Institute is supporting a group of three UAE expat women for organizing ‘Empowering Auto Workshop’ to enable females to take full control over their vehicles.
The workshop will provide insight on car damage procedures and educate young women on basic vehicle essentials.
Emirates Driving Institute, always at a forefront for road safety, with the help of its safety exhibits will teach the participants about disadvantages of not using a seat belt. Participants will also learn on the type of child seats suitable for different age groups, how their placement should be and why it is important to secure the children in proper child seats.
Other partners include Al Nabooda automobiles, which will educate participants on car mechanism, and Emirates NBD who offered financial support for the workshop.
The trio is aiming to organize four workshops in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi to target over 100 women from different nationalities.
The first workshop, which will took place at Al Nabooda Automobiles premises on Shaikh Zayed Road, witnessed 23 participants.
